Overview
In Service Desk, staff onboarding is one of the most common requests. However, Pia will also create credentials for the new account it has created which may cause security concern if not handled properly. So, how do you make sure that the new staff receives their account details in a secure and reliable way?
To solve this issue, we use an extension that creates a One Time Secret (OTS) link that you can share with the staff. This link can be used by the staff only once so that they can securely change the password of their newly created account.
Flow
Here’s the flow:
- Pia will retrieve the information of the newly created user account from the parent Staff Onboarding automation.
- Pia will create a One Time Secret (OTS) link with the obtained details.
- Pia will display the link in the chatbot for the engineer to share with the user.
