Overview

The clients frequently complain about Wi-Fi connectivity issues. A common resolution involves restarting the affected device, but this process is inefficient. It requires signing into unintuitive tools outside the ticketing system and demands access privileges typically held by technical staff. This not only delays resolution but also diverts skilled resources from more complex tasks.

To solve this issue, we have an automation that retrieves device details, including UniFi site information, directly from the client’s environment. This data is presented to the engineer in the chatbot, allowing them to restart the selected UniFi device from within your ticketing system. This enables non-technical staff to perform basic troubleshooting, reduces resolution time, and frees up technical resources for higher-priority issues.

Flow

Here’s the flow:

  1. Pia will retrieve a list of configured UniFi sites for the client and ask you to select a site from the list.
  2. Pia will retrieve all devices linked to the selected UniFi site and display them for you to choose one to restart.
  3. Pia will restart the UniFi device you have selected.
