Overview

Managing user visibility in Gmail address book via Google Workspace can be time-consuming and error-prone, especially when service desk teams need to quickly hide or unhide users via directory sharing during staff onboarding, offboarding, or role changes.

To solve this issue, Pia has built an automation that allows your Service Desk team to instantly hide/unhide user visibility within your clients’ Google Workspace.

This automation displays a list of users currently hidden or visible in the directory, allowing you to review their status and make any necessary updates.

Flow

Here’s the flow:

  1. Pia will retrieve ALL the users from your Google Workspace Directory and present the users in a multi-select list box.
  2. Move users from left to right to hide from the directory (Turn off directory sharing) or move users from right to left to unhide from the global address list (Turn on directory sharing).
  3. Pia will hide or unhide the users from Google Workspace directory based on the changes you have made.
