Overview

When a new user account is created in Active Directory, if the login script has not been created or configured properly, the user may not have access to required resources upon logging into their machine. So, how do you make sure this task is automated with the user onboarding process without the engineer having to worry about it?

For this, we use an extension that automatically sets the login script in Active Directory for the user based on the details available from the user onboarding automation. This extension is specifically built for Pia’s Staff Onboarding automation but can also be used with your custom staff onboarding automations.

Flow

Here’s the flow:

  1. Pia will retrieve the information of the newly created user account from the parent Staff Onboarding automation.
  2. Pia will set the login script in Active Directory for the user based on the onboarding details.
  3. Pia confirms the configuration and completes the automation execution.
